Why Tinker?

Tinker was founded by Toowoomba artist, community enthusiast, handmade designer (Deer & Fox Collective), creative activator and all round obsessed with the arts artist Alex Stalling.
It was space that just happened, it has been shaped by the interests of what Toowoomba wants from an accessible creative space.
Since opening their doors in 2018 Tinker has grown to offer a full program of workshops for two year olds to adult including traditional art styles like watercolour, acrylic painting, printmaking, textiles and drawing as well as polymer clay jewellery, clutch making, macrame and so much more.
Alex offers after school term classes for school aged children, as well as a jam-packed holiday program and kids birthday parties.
For adults each month you can join in on a casual, but knowledge loaded Friday evening workshops and you can even turn it into a sip and create.
PLUS Tinker loves to support creatives and is always bringing in skilled artisans to teach you their skills through the Tinker Presents program.
